KATHY A. MASSING, RN, BSN, LNC

Ms. Massing is originally from Stratford, Iowa. She attended Des Moines Area Community College, and received an Associates Degree in Nursing Science in 1986. She later attended Florida International University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science in 1990. After practicing nursing for several years in geriatrics - nursing home and home health, pediatrics - home health, psychiatry, intensive care, emergency medicine, adult medicine, chemotherapy and infusion therapy, she attended the National Center for Paralegal Training and graduated from the Nurse Consultant Program with honors. She has been certified in PALS, ACLS, Long Arm Catheter Insertion and Chemotherapy.

TERI H. SCIAVICCO, RN, LNC

Teri was born in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida State University and later became a licensed property and casualty insurance agent, specializing in medical malpractice insurance. Following a brief time home with her small children, she went back to school and received her degree as a Registered Nurse, graduating with honors. Her clinical nursing experience includes patient care in the emergent and urgent care settings as well as outpatient overnight surgery, medical case management, and recovery of cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology procedures. Teri was also a member and active participant in the local chapter of American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants in Miami, Florida. She relocated to the Atlanta area in 2002.

CHRISTINE R. BYLER, RN*, BSN, LNC

Ms. Byler was born in Batavia, New York.  She attended Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a critical care nurse specializing in coronary care.  She later obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science from the State University of New York at Brockport.  After practicing nursing for several years, she went on to specialize in claims and risk management, first in the acute care setting and later with managed care organizations in Pennsylvania and Florida.  She served as Director of Risk Management for a national organization that provides healthcare services to incarcerated individuals throughout the United States.  She obtained her certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant from the National Institute of Paralegal Arts and Sciences in Boca Raton, Florida.  She is a member of the National Commission on Correctional Healthcare and has spoken on medical liability issues.

BEVERLY M. DUDLEY, B.S., M.S.

Beverly M. Dudley was born in Birmingham, Alabama.  She attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia and received a Bachelors of Science, cum laude, in 1999. She attended Central Michigan University in Atlanta, Georgia and received an M.S. in 2000. Ms. Dudley has extensive work experience in Hospital Administration as a paraprofessional, and has worked in the private law firm environment since December 2000.

MURIEL A. MELLEMA

Ms. Mellema was born in Gary, Indiana.  She earned an Associates Degree from The Sawyer College in Sacramento, California.  She has also attended the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland and Georgia State University in Atlanta.  She received her paralegal certificate from the National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta in 1999.  Ms. Mellema was associated with the Emory University System of Healthcare for 20 years before entering the private law firm environment.  She has extensive experience in Hospital Administration and Risk Management.
